
Here is a popular image of Albert I climbing the cliffs of Marche-les-Dames. Notice the rather naïve style. I am not sure whether this is supposed to be a representation of the day he died (if anyone knows, please tell me). If so, it would be part of the
tradition of pious mementos that sprang up after the King's death.
