I really love Italy and I would like to see the monarchy restored but the record of the House of Savoy (despite some very good members) has always been rather sketchy. I can understand Italians wanted to be a united, great country again but it was a rather unholy alliance of the Savoys and the liberal revolutionaries that brought it about, taking down the Pope and the other Italian monarchies. I don't think the fall of the monarchy was just, obviously, but since then it seems the Savoys have still often been their own worst enemies.
The love of one's neighbors, the sense of duty, truth, and justice, if applied to daily life, would spare mankind countless sufferings, troubles, and anxieties ...
The solution of the problems which oppress the world can only be found in the practice of Charity between individuals and between nations.
