A Note on Reviews
Unless otherwise noted, any books I review on this blog I have either purchased or borrowed from the library, and I do not receive any compensation (monetary or in-kind) for the reviews.
Maybe this isn't not the appropriate place to post this. So, my apologies...
Anyway, I was researching materials on the encounters between General Alexander von Falkenhausen and Mrs Qian Xiuling from Herbeumont (who petitioned the general time and again on behalf of the Belgians arrested by the Gestapo) when I stumbled upon one of your posts on the Second World War...
Do you have any information relating to the subject?...
I also do not know how the name "Qian Xiuling" might have been written at the time. Maybe as "Tchang Chou-ling" ?
Thanks for commenting, you're most welcome here! I really wish I could help but unfortunately, I have no information on these encounters. It sounds like a very interesting topic though and I will certainly keep it in mind. If I find anything out, I will post on it.
The love of one's neighbors, the sense of duty, truth, and justice, if applied to daily life, would spare mankind countless sufferings, troubles, and anxieties ...
The solution of the problems which oppress the world can only be found in the practice of Charity between individuals and between nations.
