Mary Magdalen
A painting of St. Mary Magdalen by Rogier van der Weyden, from the right panel of the Braque Family Triptych (1450).
The love of one's neighbors, the sense of duty, truth, and justice, if applied to daily life, would spare mankind countless sufferings, troubles, and anxieties ...
The solution of the problems which oppress the world can only be found in the practice of Charity between individuals and between nations.

It's absolutely beautiful.
Thanks! I thought the penitent Mary Magdalen suited the Lenten season; and it is such a beautiful and thoughtful painting.
She really does. There's also this wonderful springtime quality...I love her serenity.
I think Van der Weyden was a wonderful artist... and Flemish! So he suits the Belgian theme here...
